As I sit at home I find myself wondering if this is what it was like on the ark for Noah. How did he find peace in his situation? Can you imagine? There are tons of animals and his family. I can't imagine that the ark would resemble an RV that we take when we go camping, (some in my family would call it "glamping") but I digress. There would not be a king sized memory foam with chill layer so you don't sweat at night, a stove and fridge to store and keep your food fresh, or a bathroom where you could take a shower or flush your toilet. Sounds heavenly to me. What I can be sure is that Noah in the midst of chaos and uncertainty he would have peace.
How would he have peace you ask? Simple, he knew that God was in control. Through out the Bible God has reassured us today, as He would Noah, that He is here. He doesn't want us to fear, but to turn to Him. As we watch the news, read the statistics, and squire away from this pandemic we can know with blind faith that God is there for us. He was with Noah, Moses, Joseph, Job, David, and eventually Jesus. So when will we find peace? We don't need to if we have let God be control of what is going on. Let Him steer the ark and bring us to dry land, in a new valley, and a new day. 2 Corinthians 13:11 ESV Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
