Time to Renew

Looking out the window I can see the spots where the snow has melted. The grass is just peeking out. The trees are starting to get buds on them. I know that we have been going through trying times, but there is always space for God to bring about a renewal. Our new normal is being designed by God through this time. A great example of renewal that comes to mind is the telling of Noah and the Ark. God washed the earth, renewing it. Noah held true to his faith for 40 days and 40 nights as the storm raged on. Can you imagine being in the Ark day in and day out, nothing to do, animals living with you. You can't go into the sunlight and walk around. Your children not being able to play free.Once the land dried up, every thing was new.

Even through this time I have seen so much renewal. Their was births, prayers being answered, and changes that have been made for the good. I myself have been through a renewal, with the help of the Lord, I have been able to process some of the baggage that I carry around. That has been such a heavy load and the ability to drop some off has made me lighter. Years ago this chaos which has become a daily struggle would have pushed me so far over the edge, I don't know if I would be sitting here writing this blog. That's not to say that bad things haven't happened in this time, far from it. I just know that God renewed in me the ability to fight and live solely on my faith. “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 With this faith God brings about renewal, Ephesians 4:22-24 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

So while the times we may be living in would not be partial to renewal, remember every year with each season the earth changes, and with each season in God we change as well. Renewal is not something that we should fear but embrace as God brings us to life.

Yours in Christ

Heather
