We have always been told that the Bible is a living book. I know for myself I interpreted that to mean a manual. The book of rules that we have to live by to get into Heaven. I have now come to know that it is so much more.

We are actually living the scriptures every day. Col. 3:15-16 (NIV) 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

It is amazing to me to know that trials and blessings that faced the tribes, the apostles, and Jesus, are still alive today. We are living the Scriptures. How humbling that thought is. It is also very powerful, words and actions that we use can affect change. If everything we do is done with a heart for Christ, our living is to live as Christ, we bring love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The walls that are attached to the foundation of Christ in our lives. These are the attributes that bring lasting change.

The Bible is the living word, and we are living it everyday.

Yours in Christ,

Heather
