How?

One night my son said the question that many ask, How can you believe in a person that you can't see? Right away my defences go up because I don't know if this is question used to just get under my skin, or to start and argument that doesn't end well. As I looked at him, I repeated my miracle story, but that didn't seem to be enough. I do believe that he was truly asking me and in that moment I was at a loss.

I find when someone questions me about this, I struggle to find an answer that will satisfy them. I know why I believe. I know what God has done for me. I know how I feel knowing that there is a plan for me in this life. The hard part is the how? How do you help someone know what you feel? How do you make someone that is real to you, real to them?

When I was little my grandma didn't go to church, but she believed in God. She knew that someone had to have created the world that we live in. She would always tell me that God made me special. Despite this she didn't answer the how come she believed this. This is my next assignment. This blog will not end with an answer as I truly have to explore the how? Not only for myself but for those who ask. I may never have an answer that will truly express the love that I have for God, but I will continue to live with Him at the center of my life and may that show the how.
